Girls Football at Egerton FC

Egerton FC Girls teams play in the Cheshire Girls League and the South Manchester Girls League.

We currently have five teams:

under 9s = school years 3 & 4 and they play in the Cheshire league

under 10s = school years 4 & 5 and they play in the South Manchester League

under 12s = school years 6 & 7 and they play in the South Manchester League

under 14s = school years 8 & 9 and they play in the South Manchester League

under 15s = school years 9 & 10 and they play in the South Manchester League

All Cheshire League matches are played at Moss Farm in Northwich.  Matches are played on a Saturday morning. Start times vary depending on age groups.

under 9s play two games of 10 minute halves every other weekend.  Kick offs are 9.30am and 10.15am and they play 5 a side.

All our other teams play in the South Manchester League, who prefer a 12.30pm kick off on a Saturday lunchtime and have home and away fixtures for the older age groups. This means we get to have our girls teams playing home matches at Egerton with wonderful facilities.

under 10s play in a central venue at Woodsend with a 12.30 kick off every Saturday in one match of two 20 minute halves playing 7 aside.

under 12s home and away every weekend with a 12.30 kick off in two halves of 30 minutes and they play 9 a side.

under 14s play home and away with 12.30 kick off in two 40 minute halves playing 11 a side.

under 15s play home and away with a 12.30 kick off in two halves of 40 minutes playing 11 a side.

Girls Training takes place at Egerton on the 3G pitch on Wednesdays:

5pm – 6.30pm for under 12 and younger ages

6.30-8pm for under 13 and above

All training sessions are lead by FA qualified coaches with an aim on developing the individual, the team and a focus on enjoying football.
