Saturday Club U5s and U6s – Covid-19 Update (July 2020)
There will be a few changes to the way in which Saturday Club operates as we return to ‘normal’ following release of the lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic.
Training sessions will be 45 mins long, and players will be in small groups of 5 plus a coach. Full details of how we are managing the return to training, along with the declaration form which needs completing for each session can be found here.
U5 players will train on Saturday mornings either 10 – 10.45, or 11-11.45. Once you sign up, you will be allocated a time and a group.
U6 players will train on Saturdays at either 12-12.45 or at 13-13.45. Again, once you sign up you will be allocated a time and a group.
As we can only accommodate a set amount of players in each time slot, numbers will be strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We are offering the option of a block booking of 6 sessions (cost £30) which will run from 18th July to the end of the summer period (Aug 22nd), after which point the club will take a break to prepare for the new season.
We strongly advise block booking to guarantee your training place for the next 6 weeks. However we will still be taking bookings on a weekly basis where there is space to do so (for existing Saturday Club members).
All places need to be booked AND paid for in advance. No cash payments will be taken on the day.
Payments are to be made to:

General Saturday Club Info
For all our players from ages 3 – 7 years, we offer a fun, physical football activity called Saturday Club.
This is very much about developing those early seeds to produce players who are technically confident and will be able to use this confidence for a lifetime of enjoyment from the game whether as a player, a coach, a referee or a parent.
Saturday Club commences with unobstructed, uncoached free play to assess the needs of the session. After this players will be coached in a variety of technical and physical topics dependant upon the needs of the age groups.
We encourage a lot of time with the ball and as young children are egocentric we will encourage individual techniques before team understanding. Its all about FUN so many simplified games will be played.
What we do not do is enter our Under 7 players in ANY leagues as we do not consider that to be beneficial to their development
Saturday Club takes place every Saturday during school term time
- Children in Reception School Year should attend the Under 5’s sessions
- Children in School Year 1 should attend the Under 6’s sessions
- Children in School Year 2 should attend the Under 7’s sessions
- Children in School Year 3 should attend the Under 8’s sessions
Registration for the year for u5s and u6s only is £20, this includes a training kit (shirt, shorts and socks) and it then costs £5 per session on a ‘pay as you play’ basis.
Registration for u7s is £195 for the season, this includes training kit.
Registration for u8s is £260 for the season. This includes match day kit and additional weekday 1 hour training session (Tues 5:30 – 6:30 for the 2019-20 season.)
The sessions take place on our 3G Pitch so no metal studs are allowed.
Please ensure that children bring a drink…and plenty of energy!

For all our players at Under 8, we have taken the structure from our Saturday Club and expanded this into Under 8 football. This is very much about developing further those early seeds that were planted at Saturday Club to produce players who are technically confident and will be able to use this confidence for a lifetime of enjoyment from the game whether as a player, a coach, a referee or a parent.
Our development squad will be coached in a variety of technical and physical topics dependant upon the needs of the age groups.
We still encourage a lot of time with the ball and as young children are egocentric we will encourage individual techniques before team understanding. Its all about FUN so many simplified games will be played.
What we do not do is enter our Under 8 teams in ANY leagues as we do not consider that to be beneficial to their development. Why travel 30 minutes to spend 20 minutes on a pitch and have football contact time of around 20 touches when our development squad sessions revolve around football contact time.
